Alfred "Bill" Rowland Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2022.

He worked hard his entire life to provide for his family. Bill worked around water all his life. He was a mechanic and later and engineer for Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co. He retired from them at age 73. He then worked part-time for Baltimore County Rec and Parks for 10+ years until age 89. He was a member of St. Clements Church and men's club.

He leaves behind 5 children, William Rowland, Thomas Rowland, Alfred Rowland III, Maryann Rowland, and Stella Martin (Bill). Brother of Rosemary Buckley. Bill is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and grandson.

Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P.A.  1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at Route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  A funeral service will be held that same evening at 7 PM.
