On February 8, 2021, August John Kahler, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Irene Kahler (nee Zahradka); devoted father of Rick Kahler and his wife Karla; doting granddad to his grandpup Hunter; loving brother of Margaret Oldewurtel and her husband the late Frank Odewurtel, Agnes Mattheu and her husband Frank. and the late William David Kahler, and Charles Henry Kahler "Buck". Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

Friends may call at family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex  at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1706 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, MD. 21221 on Monday at 11am.  Interment Gardens Of Faith Memorial Gardens.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and limitations on gatherings, the funeral home capacity is set at 40 people inside the funeral home at one time. We ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to enter the funeral home.  We require masks for all visitors.
