Charles John Edward Heiser, 91 nicknamed Charlie & Buddy, went to be with his Lord on August 3, 2014 surrounded by his loving daughters. He was a lifetime resident of Essex/Middle River MD. Buddy grew up on his Botzon family farm on Myrth & Clover Ave. in Essex. Charlie was the beloved son of Marie Botzon Heiser & Sister Whilamenia Horner.
During WWII, Charlie worked at Glenn L. Martin Co. as a rocket engineer, where he met his wife Alice Henchliffe Heiser of 62 years. They were married in 1945 & had three girls, Susan, Cindy & Mary Beth. He also worked at NASA on the Mercury & Gemini space programs. They created Hawthorne’s Midthorne Park, volunteered with the Coast Guard Reserve, Middle River Baltimore County Recreation & Park & Hawthorn’s Civic Association.
