CHARLES WILLIAM ROLLISON, 88,
died peacefully at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson.   Beloved husband to the late Arlene Marie (nee Kahler); cherished father of  Linda Darlene Wilfong and her husband Bernard; loving grandfather to Elida Gail (Ellie) Wilfong and Lynne Rollison Peters; and devoted great-grandfather to Chase Richard McLean.  He is also survived by three of his five brothers William, Randolph (Duffy) and David and his many nieces and nephews.

Born in 1926, he was the second child and first son of the late William and Hester (Dolly) Rollison.  One of eight children in the family, he was predeceased by his two sisters, Lillian and Irene (Renie); and two brothers, Norman (Mickey) and Howard (Ells).
A member of the “greatest generation,” he was wounded in the Pacific while serving in the Navy during World War II.   As a disabled American Veteran, he was a member of the Charles Evering Post in Rosedale.

After returning to civilian life, he met and married his wife of 60 years, Arlene and together they raised two daughters, Linda Darlene and the late Gail Jean Rollison-Peters.
To support his family, he went to work at Bethlehem Steel as a carpenter.  In 1951, he left Baltimore and moved the family to San Diego, CA where he worked for Boeing Aircraft Company.   The family returned to Baltimore in 1956 and Charles went back to work for Bethlehem Steel as a crane operator in the Hot Mill.  He retired from Bethlehem in 1989 with 38 years.

Charles will be laid to rest at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.   Expressions of sympathy may be mailed to 2518 Proctor Lane, Baltimore, MD  21234.
