In Loving Memory of Daryl Jackson II

It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Daryl Jackson II (Lil Daryl) announce his sudden passing on June 19, 2022. Born July 1, 2001 in Baltimore, MD, Lil Daryl is the second child born to Daryl and Dana (Soares) Jackson.

Daryl received a quality catholic education which began at Cardinal Shehan School and continued on to Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School (OLMC), where he graduated with the class of 2019. Daryl was entering his final semester this fall at the Community College of Baltimore County/Essex where he was pursuing his Associates degree in Business Administration. Aside from his studies and working at Amazon, his leisure time was dedicated to his passion for baseball, spending time with his brothers, and playing the PS5.

Over the years, he was a proud member of several teams and clubs – Cub Scout Pack #648, Boy Scout Troop #161, Overlea Rec soccer, St. Francis CYO soccer, Parkville Rec football and basketball, Cardinal Shehan School basketball, Hamilton Baseball League, Baltimore Orioles RBI baseball, OLMC football and OLMC baseball.

The athletic achievements of which he was the most proud was being selected to represent Baltimore in the RBI World Series Tournament (2016); Baltimore City Mayor's Cup Baseball Tournament (2019) and being selected to the MIAA All Conference baseball team (2019).

He was beloved by many and his contributions to his community will not be forgotten. Daryl was and forever will be treasured as a friend, confidant, brother, and son.

His life and memory are celebrated by his parents, Daryl and Dana Jackson.

Brothers, Andre', Ryan (Brianna), Jaisyn, Darius, Jordan and Jaden.

Grandparents, Jacqueline and John A Soares, Sr. of Bridgeport, CT.  & Grace and Isaac Jackson of Sacramento, CA (both deceased)

Aunts and uncles, Kimberly Jordan, Bryon Soares (Cassandra), Aarron Soares (Marie), Jeffrey Stewart, Jr. (Rockeya), John (Jay) Soares, Jr.(Mary), Karen Robinson (Chris), Isaac Jackson, Sr. (Maggie), Susan Jackson (deceased), Diane Dewitt (Jay), Derek Jackson (deceased).

As well as 25 first cousins, 3 nephews and a host of loving relatives, friends and former teammates.

Visitation will be held at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1704 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, MD 21221 on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Saint Matthews Catholic Church, 5401 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21239.  Interment to follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery. Immediately following the burial, a repast/memorial gathering will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School, 1706 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, MD 21221.

All are welcome to pay their respects.

Funeral Services will be live streamed by St. Matthews Catholic Church.
