On June 2, 2024, Donald R. Cardwell, Sr. passed away. Beloved husband of the late Mary "Marie" Cardwell; devoted father of Diana McGurrin and her husband Larry. Donald R. Cardwell, Jr., and Susan Imbraguglio and her husband Michael; cherished grandfather of Tony McGurrin and his wife Christina, Larry McGurrin and his wife Jodie, and Connie Carrico and her husband Michael; doting great-grandfather of Noah, Christopher, Dominic, Camryn, Avery, Gavin, Aubrey, Delaney, and Kinsley. Donald was preceded in death by his siblings, Junior, Norman, Sonny, and Delores. Donald is also survived by "Grandmom" Ricky Roberts, and a host of other loving family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Essex Elks Lodge, 1007 E. Homberg Avenue, Essex, Maryland, on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM. A private cremation was held.
