Dorothy Stella (Baker) Smith

On September 5, 2012, Dorothy Stella Smith, a kind and gentle woman departed this life. Dorothy was born on June 17, 1917 to Michael Baker and Madeline Baker (nee Lubinski) in Baltimore City. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 36 years George F. Buerhaus and by Alfred Smith, her beloved husband of 35 years. She is survived by her four children, Nancy Little, JoAnn Clark, George F. Buerhaus, Jr. and his wife Valerie, Susan Dashner and her husband Charles.  She was the sweetest grandmother (a.k.a.  Gaye-Gaye) to her 11 Grandchildren, Jerry, Dennis, Scott, and Jill Little, Debbie and Patrick Finnegan, Cheryl Weir, Rachel Bayliss, Melissa Dwyer and Chad and Christen Dashner and her 14 great-grandchildren Sean, Kevin, Nicole, Scottie, Amanda, Samantha, Hunter, Harrison, Katie, Zachary, Oliver, Carter, Shawn and Patrick. She is also survived by two brothers, Melvin and Robert Baker of Baltimore and sister Josephine (Babe) Lovely of Florida. Also survived by many other family and friends. Friends may call at the Family Owned Bruzdzinski Funeral  Home, P.A., 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at route 702 (Beltway Exit 36) on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.  Funeral service on Monday 11 AM. Interment Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers memorials in her name to Amedisys Hospice of Greater Chesapeake  7106 Ridge Road Suite 100 Rosedale, MD 21237 will be appreciated.
