On August 18, 2020, Franklin F. Haetler, beloved husband of Shirley Haetler (nee Wolferman); devoted father of Kathleen Wade and her husband Michael, and Linda Haetler and her companion Richard Mlynski; cherished grandfather of Kimberly Tharp and her husband Jared, Lauren Myers and her husband Adam, Robert Jirsa Jr. and his wife Tiffany, and Todd Olszewski and his wife Brenda; dear great-grandfather of Ethan, Jarrison. Kendall, Audrey, Jocelyn, Elizabeth, Ava, Bobby, Blakely, and Owen.

A memorial gathering will be held at family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A., 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex  at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, at 11am at Immanuel Cemetery, 2809 Grindon Avenue, Lauraville, MD. 21214 with interment immediately following.
