On March 10, 2024, Freddie Marvin Baker, Sr., passed away. Beloved husband of the late "Peggy" Baker; devoted father of Tina Bootz and her husband Timothy, Freddie Baker, Jr. and his wife Oteal and Julie Hoover and her husband William; loving grandfather of Karen Kaminski and her husband Jonathan, Kevin Bootz and his wife Sara, Robert Baker and his wife Miriah, Natalie and her husband Miguel Magana and Connor Hoover. Also survived by his great-grandchildren; Nathan Bootz, Jacob Kaminski, Hannah Kaminski, Rafael Magana and Abigail Magana.

Friends may call at family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: The Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
