April 7, 1945 ~ December 17, 2019 (age 74)

Beloved son of the late Leslie and Erma Piatt. Devoted father of Melissa Lutz and her husband Gene. Loving brother of Joan Piatt Scinta and the late Lawrence Piatt. Dear grandfather of  Hanna Lutz, Adeline Lutz, Tori Lutz and Joshua Lutz. Loving uncle of Samuel and Kerry Scinta, Sr., Gary Dean Piatt, Vincent Piatt, Robert Piatt Shelley Piatt, Christopher Piatt and the late Jacqueline Piatt. Also survived by his grandnephews Samuel Scinta, Jr. and 1st Lt. Anthony Scinta.

Friends may call at  the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Saturday December 28th, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Funeral Service on Saturday December 28th, 2019 at 3:00 PM. Private cremation to follow.

Mr. Piatt proudly served in the U.S. Army and did several tours in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam Conflict. After his honorable discharge from military service, he continued to dedicate his life as a public servant, performing duties in many facets of law enforcement, the majority of which were spent as a Washington D.C. Law Enforcement Officer.
