George F. Rohrig

George Frederick Rohrig, age 94, died at home on April 4, 2022.  He was born to George and Irene Rohrig on August 4, 1927, in eastern Baltimore City.  He described his childhood as full of outdoor adventures.  He loved animals and nature.  He had a very happy childhood by all accounts and would say that he had, “The best Mom and Dad”.  His family soon moved to a waterfront on Middle River where he made many happy memories with his family.

He enlisted in the Army during WW2 and served for two years in the Philippines. After his time in the Army, he enlisted in the Naval Reserves and served four years.

He was a devoted husband of the late Betty June Rohrig: devoted and loving Father to Diane Davis and husband William, Karen Weeks and partner Fred Svec, George William Rohrig and wife Donna; cherished Grandfather of Angela Weer and husband Jeffrey, Lauren Azure, Donald Weeks and wife Katie, Heidi Urbany and husband Sean, Kate Geho and husband Corey, Darrel Sapp and wife Kristin; loving great-grandfather to Tyler, Jillian, Nora, Alice, Bennett, Calvin, Anna, Asher, Riley, Madison, Carson and Riley; dear brother of the late Lieuemma Eiermann. He also leaves behind his beloved little dog, Daisy.

Friends may call at the family-owned Brudzinski Funeral Home P.A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at Route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 4-8 PM.  Funeral services on Tuesday, April 12 at 10 AM.  Interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
