James Odell Redding Jr., 69, of Aberdeen , Md. passed away on Aug. 31. He was born on April 4, 1948 in Baltimore, Md. to James and Doris Redding. James worked as a self employed master carpenter his whole life. He loved music and played the trumpet, piano and truly loved playing the guitar. Jim was often described by people he knew as just a great man. He was loved and respected by many.
He is survived by his wife Denise who loves him dearly. He is survived by his sons, Jay (Patricia), Brian (Julie), Braden (Jessica) and his grandchildren: Griffin, Ashlyn, Cohen, Bridgett, Alexis and Blake Redding. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers Thomas and Mark Redding. Jim is also survived by his stepchildren, Michael ( Erin), Jeffrey ( Heather) ,Debra (Tony) and 6 additional grandchildren and 1 more that will arrive soon.
Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services on Thursday at 8 pm. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Mr. Redding's name to The American Heart Association.
