Beloved husband of Kathy Shively. Devoted father of Matthew Shively and Dawn and Kevin Chaney. Dear brother of Robert Shields. Also survived by his sisters in law: Mary Jane Lavin, Margaret Lavin & Dorothy Wood. His  brother in law Allen Wood his nephews Roy Shields, Robert Shields Jr, Michael Shields and Tyler Wood, and  niece Christen Hunt.
Funeral from the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P.A.  1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at Route 702 (Beltway exit 36) on Tuesday at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church at 10AM.  Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Visitation on Sunday and Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.  Please make donations to Gilchrist Hospice in his name.
