On January 23, 2017 James S. Smiley Sr.; Beloved husband of the late Rachel E. Smiley (Nee Allen); Loving father of Jenny Williams, Vicki Ozmore, James S. Smiley Jr. and his wife Linda and the late Michael Smiley; Cherished grandfather of Kristen Martin, Adam Prater, Dylan Ozmore, Wyatt Ozmore and Jessica Green; Devoted great grandfather of Simon Martin and Mila Green; Dear brother of Mary Hepler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex  at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Sunday from 2 to 6 pm. Funeral services on Monday at 11 am.  Entombment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
