Jerry "Shep" Shepard

Born in Long Branch, WV, he was the son of the late Tracy Ray and Ines Marie Kise Shepard; Loving husband of DeDe Shepard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. His favorite hobby was playing pool and loved antique cars. Jerry was highly regarded and respected by his peers as one of the best pool players. Mr. Shepard is survived by his stepsons, John R. Mitchell (Sherri) of Abingdon and Ronald L. Girard of Joppa; stepdaughters, Michele Arcilesi (Paul) of Perry Hall and Barbara Rohe (Doug) of Abingdon; brothers, Grover Ray Shepard of Florida and Robin Ray Shepard of Edgewood; sisters, Gail Young of Joppatowne and Rhonda Bundrick of Essex; seven step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brothers, Tracy L. Shepard Sr. and Howard (Hap) Shepard; and sisters, Dorothy (Dottie) L. Shepard, Janet M. Anders, and Helen Mullins.

Friends may call at family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Thursday, July 18 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service on Friday, July 19 at 11 am. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
