On March 2, 2021, John E. Ecke Jr., beloved husband of Patricia Ecke (nee Brooks); devoted father of Julie Ecke, and Dr. Susan Hammond and her husband Tony; cherished grandfather of Trey Rozankowski, Sophia Hammond, Maya Hammond, Brooke Rozankowski, and T. J. Hammond; loving son of Dolores and the late John E. Ecke Sr.; dear brother of Richard Ecke and his wife Dorothy, and Kathy Nelson and her husband Henry. Also survived by a host of other loving family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1704 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, MD. 21221, on Saturday at 9am. Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex  at route 702 (beltway exit 36), on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Baltimore County Game and Fish, 3400 Northwind Road, Parkville, MD. 21234.
