On Wednesday, February 23, 2022, John Kenneth Shaffer passed away peacefully. Husband of the late Helen Ruth Shaffer. Father of Ronald Shaffer and his wife Laura, the late Steven Shaffer and daughter-in-law Fran. Brother of Ruth. Grandfather of Fern Wroten and her husband Anthony, and Michael Shaffer and his girlfriend Amanda Earp. Great-grandfather of Charlie and Jack. John is preceded in death by his siblings Richard, Lucille, Beulah, and Virginia.

Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P.A.  1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at Route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 3 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held that same evening at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Essex, MD.
