Lisa's Life Story
Lisa was born in Baltimore to John and Joan Johnson on December 26, 1956, a wonderful Christmas gift for her sisters, Suzie and Carol! This little chatterbox was joined by Annie, Paul and Michael, who came by the time she was 9 years old. Even as a young girl, Lisa took responsibility of caring for her younger siblings, putting their welfare before her own. She has been especially close to Carol, her best friend throughout her life.
Professionally, she was a nurse for over eighteen years at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Going through her papers we found countless letters of praise and thankfulness from her patients. Before that, Lisa had a variety of jobs, most notably working at Westinghouse where she made lifelong friends, Gladys and Mike.
Lisa loved gardening, decorating and shopping. She also adored spending time with her family and doted on her nieces and nephews, especially four year old Abigail. Over her life, she had three beloved cats, Socks, Impy and Isabella.
A great dancer (and clogger), Lisa loved the oldies and country music. She enjoyed many travels with her friend and co-worker Kathy. She was an avid reader and her bookshelves are lined with her favorite romance novels. Recently she had been playing weekly pinochle games with her cousins Lynn and Mary. Nothing gave her more pleasure than celebrating the holidays and she has the decorations to prove it!
When her mother died last March, Lisa felt this loss profoundly. And now that she is gone as well, she will be missed beyond words. Her family and friends have been blessed to have had her in their lives.
