Norbert John Porter

On May 8, 2013, Norbert John Porter, beloved husband of the late Oriole E. Porter " Boots"; passed away at his Essex home while being cared for by his loving family and the Gilchrist Hospice Staff.  He was well known in the past for his consistent care and love of his beautiful roses.  Vice President of the locally owned construction company, Porter Brothers Inc., established 1952.  The company was well known for quality commercial construction and renovations.  The business closed in January 1994.  He is the devoted father of Emily O. Davidson - Taylor, Norbert L. Porter and his wife Linda; Karen A. Porter and her husband David Strack, Daniel B. Porter and his wife Peggy; dear brother of Lawrence Porter and his wife Rachael, the late George F. Porter and his wife the late Ethel, James C. Porter and  his wife Helen.  Also survived by seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at he family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue Essex, Baltimore at Route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Sunday  from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 1704 Old Eastern Avenue  Essex, Maryland 21221 on Monday at 9 AM. Entombment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
