Norman A. Miller

Norman A Miller of Whitehall, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the University of Maryland Medical Center on November 16, 2016.  Born in Baltimore, MD, Norman was the son of the late Norman A. Miller Sr. and Mary Miller (Harryman).  Norman was a United States Navy veteran, serving two years in the submarine service for the Navy Reserves before meeting his now wife of 57 years in Parkville, MD. Following his service, he spent the majority of his career serving as a field and customer engineer for International Business Machines (IBM). When not working Norman enjoyed traveling;  visiting all 50 states in the U.S. as well as numerous countries around the world. In his free time, he enjoyed working outside and on his vehicles, spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoying his 24 years of retirement. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Mary Lou Miller (Remmels). He is survived by his wife Linda Miller (Butler), son Ronnie Miller and wife Michelle, daughter Tammy Burke and husband Bob, brother-in-law Russell Butler and wife Nancy, grandson Ryan Miller and wife Natalie, granddaughter Rebecca Phillips and husband Bradley, granddaughter Kristen, great-granddaughters Jordan and Devon, and many other extended family and friends.

Friends may call at family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Ea stern Avenue, Essex  at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Orems United Methodist Church 1020 Orems Road  Middle River, Maryland 21220. Interment Highview Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Norman's name to Orems United Methodist Church.
