On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Rachel Rebecca Porter passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Edward Porter Sr. Loving mother of Larry Porter and his wife Lauren, Regina Porter, Deborah Cheek, David Porter, Elizabeth Wilhelm and her husband Patrick, Robert Porter and his wife Julie, and the late Barbara Melvich survived by her husband Frank. Cherished sister of Franklin Eugene Poole and the late Bettie Ruth Powell. Grandmother of Ben Porter, Claire Hill and her fiancé Cody Mack, Tim and Kathy Cheek, Keith Porter, Kristen Porter and her fiancé Corey Ziegler, Ellen Nelson, Kristin Conner and her husband Chris, and Allison Barry. Great-grandmother of Aiden Hill, Charlotte Conner, Brianna Conner, Alexandra Young, Gabriela Young, and Ashton Ziegler. Rachel is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P.A.  1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at Route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1704 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, MD 21221.  Interment to follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery.
