Essex, MD - Rashid Reza Karim of Essex, Maryland passed away on April 23, 2014. He was born January 15, 1939 in Bihar, India son of late A.R. Karim of Chapra and Syeda Hamida Khatoon of Maner Sharif. A proud democrat and a citizen, the late Mr. Rashid R. Karim was a career banker. He retired as a financial controller and company officer of a middle eastern public sector company. He came to the United States in 1993 and finally made his home inEssex, Maryland. He is survived by his daughter, Ahmareen Karim working with the World Food Programme, son Ahmad (Pasha) Karim of Canada, Son-in-law Denis Charles of Belgium, Daughter-in-law Diana Kurenkeeva of Canada and his four grandsons Xavier, Akil, Baasil and Rayan Charles all born in the United States to his daughter Ahmareen and Denis , and Keyvan born to his son Ahmad and Diana. A graveside farewell officiated by his daughter, Ms. Ahmareen Karim accompanied by his son, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and grandsons will be held at 10 am on April 28, 2014. No religious ceremony of any kind will be conducted according to the wishes of the late Mr. Karim. There will also be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
