Robert F. Mech,Sr.

On October 20, 2023 Robert Franklin Mech, Sr. passed away at the age of 93; Beloved husband of Eleonore Mech (nee Bochniak); Loving father of Barbara Mack and husband Raymond, Evelyn Fink, Carol Bostwick and husband Richard, Robert Mech, Jr. and daughter in law Hannah and Karen Wisniewski and husband Mark; Cherished grandfather of Millisa Nill, David Mack, Barbara Jeanne Bird, Jennifer Lane, Jacob Bostwick, Esther Mech and Kaylee Wisniewski; Dear great grandfather of Rachel Nill, Cody Nill, Danielle Mack, Anna Ferguson, Victor Lane and Penelope Bostwick; Devoted great great grandfather of Riley Mack and Spencer Weese; Pre-deceased by his parents John and Gertrude Mech. Also survived by his siblings Donald Mech, Trude Mech and Rose Mech.

When Robert wasn't with family or friends you could find him volunteering at City Hospital a.k.a. Bayview hospital were he received the Baltimore Best Award. Up until Robert got sick he was also volunteering at Extreme Family Outreach.

Some of his hobbies he enjoyed doing were collecting coins and duck decoys. He also enjoyed working with Havre De Grace Decoy Carvers. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and crabbing. He will be missed by all.

Friends may call at family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex  at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Tuesday from 3 to 7 pm. Funeral service on Wednesday at 12:30 pm in Edgewood Assembly of God 803 Edgewood Rd. Edgewood, Maryland 21040. Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks to please make donations to the church.
