Virginia Ann Spangler

On July 27, 2024 Virginia Ann Spangler passed away at the age of 92. Beloved companion of Jerry Locklear; Loving mother of Donna Combs (Rob), Frank Spangler (Martha), Walter Spangler, George Spangler, Joe Spangler, Kathy Livengood (Brian) and Ray Spangler (Jeanie); Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and an abundance of great & great great grandchildren; Dear sister to 9 siblings.

Virginia loved a good party...the music and the dancing especially if she was surrounded by family. Every Christmas Eve the clan congregated at Virginia's home and the party began. Every Labor Day weekend for many years the family gathered at Rocks State Park to end the summer together. She loved being the life of the party and she was good at it.

She traveled a little and enjoyed telling the stories of her trip to Hawaii, Las Vegas and several to Ocean City always traveling either with a group or family.

She loved her home where she lived and raised her children for 70 years.

Mom, you are leaving us a legacy of stories that we will share for generations to come. We will always remember your "remember whens" and then we listened and listened. It was beautiful to watch you with your siblings sharing your life and the laughter, we loved the laughter. Rest peacefully Mom.

Friends may call at the family owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P. A. at 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex at route 702 (beltway exit 36) on Wednesday, July 31st from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM.  A private cremation will follow.
